What are the different critical Illness?



Critical illness is a type of serious disease or illness. The best way to define them is to use insurance definition or even better is to use what the Singapore Insurance governing bodies : LIA or the Life Insurance Association.

So here are the different critical illness you should be aware of:

  12. Fulminant Hepatitis

  13. Major Organ/Bone Marrow Transplantation

  14. Primary Pulmonary Hypertension

  15. Alzheimer’s Disease/Severe Dementia

  16. Surgery to Aorta

  17. Major Burns

  18. HIV Due to Blood Transfusion and Occupationally Acquired HIV

  19. End Stage Lung Disease

  20. End Stage Liver Failure

  21. Parkinson’s Disease

  22. Aplastic Anaemia

  23. Angioplasty & Other Invasive Treatment For Coronary Artery (with partial payment only)

  24. Bacterial Meningitis

  25. Benign Brain Tumour

  26. Viral Encephalitis

  27. Motor Neurone Disease

  28. Apallic Syndrome

  29. Loss of Independent Existence

  30. Major Head Trauma

  31. Other Serious Coronary Artery Disease

In case of a symptom, you can claim if the illnesses or diseases is verified with blood tests, CT scan or an MRI. The disease will be certified by an experienced medical practitioner in that field.
